I don't think capitalism comes into play when corruption overshadows it. Capitalism is about the competition of a free market on a level playing field. Not "government regulation so burdensome and byzantine that it cripples your chances before you get started".
True. Which is why I quoted capitalism and added the word bourgeois.
Regulation is needed for public safety though, among other reasons. So I’m not 100% anti-regulation.
