Oil & water are the building blocks of life. Oil creates life, decaying lifeforms return to oil, they do not create oil.

Oils and other lipids are created by living organisms, though. Thereโ€™s a wide variety of them, as opposed to water, which is one specific compound and not created by organisms.

Be careful what you accept as "fact". Question everything including the notion that petroleum comes from decayed organic material. Maybe, maybe not. Oil field reserves have replenished without new dinosaurs dying.
