I checked this out earlier, I like how you integrated the notification subtle under each post and it doubled up as a solution of not needing neither the indent nor birdapp thread. How do you select featured ?
The featured feed should load just by tapping on "featured" — if it's not working that may mean that all your relays dropped the connection. They should auto-reconnect (with exponential backoff as to not spam relays :D) but I did notice in testing that occasionally they would just get dropped. It seems to happen on network change, like if you're on mobile data and then you switch to wifi. Anyway if that happens again try refreshing the app. I will also look into this more :)

Right now “featured” is just the most popular accounts (as defined by number of followers) but obviously that isn’t a long term solution because it creates positive feedback where accounts that already have visibility get even more. A much better idea is to derive the list of featured accounts is from hard-to-fake metrics. Working on that now.
Thanks for explaining, Stuart. I'd reckon this will not be an easy one to figure out as everyone wants to stay out of everything bad twitter algo had to offer. However, one thing i found useful was the 'topic of interest', and maybe this might benefit you among your other hard-to-fake metrics.

I didn’t see NIP-07 for “logging in”, I don’t think. Any plan for setting that up?
Hmm Satellite does already support logging in with extensions - if `window.nostr` is detected there should be a "connect nostr" button at the top right.
Weird. I was using Orion browser with the Alby extension and didn’t see it.
I bet I’d see it from my laptop then.

Love the aesthetics 💜- the threads, font, spacing & theme are gorgeous. And the image preview is awesome 🙌
A couple of queries:
1. How to log out? (was trying to find an option in profile but couldn't 😅)
2. When viewing one's own post, there is a "+" note (for reposts?) with reply/repost/delete as options. That's a bit confusing

1) To log out, you open up the menu by clicking on your user icon at the top right and down near the bottom there's a red disconnect nostr" button.
2) The "+" note you're seeing is a type 7 "upvote" event added from another client. Satellite doesn't support reactions yet (coming soon) but when it does the plus sign won't be rendered as a reply, I'll figure out how to make it look a bit cleaner :)
