There was a period where I got exhausted trying to orange pill my friends and family so for the longest time I've come to accept that:
Everyone gets bitcoin at the price they deserve
So much more than is reasonably expected is due to unit bias i think
Also you have to remember fiat world means everything is quick and easy but you stay poor and strapped for time. This is very very relevant
But yeah it fucking sucks. Oh well
I stopped orange pilling loooong ago
Because everyone wants their rags to riches story like the OGs who bought <$100… but they’re not patient enough to learn that there are still >100x gains left at the bitcoin table, so long as you can hodl :)
I've got a generally smart friend who proudly told me he was in some kind of ETF that just bought all the crypto in it's market cap ratio - "just diversifying, and XRP went up so it's a smart strategy".
Have no idea what this scammy supposed ETF is, but I just didn't even know where to begin with all the embedded issues in what he told me.
Bitwise is launching a ETF that tracks companies with 1000+ Bitcoin on their balance sheet. That’s somewhat compelling but the one your friend is in sounds like hot garbage.
Well considering XRP has a real world use case as a rapid transfer between institutions, & potentially governments technically speaking it has more use than Bitcoin.
Bitcoin has no utility if it's not used as a medium of exchange.
