The book is underhyped. Read it first.

Great book. Might re read it

Great book. Listened to it on 1800 mile road trip. Really takes you away from reality - especially if you have read/listened to enough to understand the money and system and rise and fall of empires.

One of the best Bitcoin books out there, and it barely even mentioned it!

Families always rise and fall in power and status but with true sound money future generations will be able to more safely build on what their ancestors were able to provide to them.

Yes, I guess that's the main message. I'm kinda nerding out a lot on her decomposition of the economic and cultural downfall. the interactions between the two are hard to notice in steady times, but when things get volatile, you suddenly realize the impact the sick money has on the society.

So true! Money is our means of communicating how we value things in the world around us. When this communication is distorted via central bank manipulation it also distorts relationships cultural values along with it.

In other words, the misallocation of capital caused by inflation is not limited to finances but also applies to human and social capital.

When discovered, these misallocations are painfully corrected.

Highly recommend, it's an excellent book. Really makes you stop and think about some of the things that might be beneficial in a deteriorating situation beyond just storing canned food etc.
