People are so in love with their poison too. Telling them is bad for them kicks in the cognitive dissonance
Same with wood fires, strong CD..
Sheâs still spraying. This was skin care a whole minute ago.
I was thinking the same thing the other dayâŠ

Modern rituals for invisible enemies. But hey â if it gives you armor, whoâs to judge?
I love supporting free thinking and such on here but we gotta be able to agree that skin cancer is VERY real and extremely preventable if we used innovations such as sun screen effectively
Iâll definitely say that mineral sunscreen is more sustainable than âchemicalâ sunscreen and the only thing to use near water due to the effects chemical sunscreen has on coral and other marine life
But, respectfully and with love, to make the argument that the âbattle with the sun does not existâ is pretty recklessâit certainly does and while we need sunlight in moderation UV radiation literally scrambles our DNA and kills us quite badly if we donât catch it in time
And to reiterateâthis is 100% preventable with a little care and effort on our parts
And itâs just so avoidable in our modern world that to shrug off protecting our largest organ from almost certain destruction is absurdly silly to even consider in 2025 đ«¶đŒ
For context, skin cancer has does numbers to people in my family, itâs so not worth it to go out that way when we can avoid it đ«¶đŒ
I use this! Doesnât support big pharma and you can pay in bitcoin 𧥠also gradually/natural sun, will help

Modern sunscreen causes skin cancer. The problem is most people donât prioritize sun exposure throughout the seasons and thus their skin is not acclimated to different times of the day / seasons.
If the sun was deadly to humans we wouldnât be attracted to Tan skin.
Between our flickering lightbulbs, blue light, lack of sun exposure, and the use of synthetic sunscreenâŠthose explain skin cancer.
1) No amount of acclimation can prevent getting sunburn if you spend 4hrs out in the sun in Saudi desert in the summer. I welcome you to prove me wrong g on this.
2) Attraction to the tanned skin is a distinctly western and quite modern âtrendâ. For a lot of Indians paler skin is more desirable and they sell skin whitening products. Until fairly recently in the west very pale skin was considered desirable.
Yes we burn from the prolonged exposure to heat, as anything does on the planet. That doesnât mean the sun is bad.
So our bodies evolved to produce melanin over 1,000âs of years of living outdoors and our natural attraction to this is a modern trend? đ€
âYes we burn from the prolonged exposure to heat, as anything does on the planet. That doesnât mean the sun is bad.â
But your assertion was that you wonât get burnt if you âacclimatiseâ.
âSo our bodies evolved to produce melanin over 1,000âs of years of living outdoors and our natural attraction to this is a modern trend?â
Yes, the trend of what is considered âattractiveâ is cultural not universal and changes over time. Try and find a painting from 18th century England where an âattractiveâ person is depicted as being tanned. Being tanned meant you were poor and had to work outside for a living. People with âporcelainâ skin were considered to be beautiful.
Our skin cells donât assimilate to social status. Youâll burn way less if you just get outdoors in the natural light year round. Why are you so adamant the sun causes skin cancer?
I never made that claim. All I said is that you cannot become immune to sunburn by spending more time outdoors, and, that what we consider attractive is cultural vs tanned skin being the universally accepted height of beauty.
Weâve seen humans fighting nature equates to disease but for some reason they look to nature as the cause instead of modern practices.
Don't forget about seed oils making people burn faster
Oh ya, big time. Forgot about that.
Not to mention the Polyester clothing everyone wears now a days too.
Synthetic life but we blame nature.
I cringe when I see people doing this to themselves and their kids
