What exactly is that 'thing' shown in the photo? A new species?

We've heard of "Bigfoot", but never seen one up close and personal. But this 'thing' above is somewhat different.

At a guess, I suspect this new species could easily be mis-identified even if confronted on a busy street or in Mall. But has it got a taxonomy?
