Hi! I'm looking for some more info on the App Store Accountability Act, which would require app stores to verify the ages of all users + restrict access for those under 18 without the consent of their parents. When will it come to affect or a what stage is the legislation? Thanks!

It only follows that downloading a package from a Linux package repository (e.g. Debian or Fedora) or a flatpak file from a web site would require authentication of the user. An app store is just a UI for finding software. Prior to 2020 I would say these people don't understand what they are trying to regulate. Now it seems clear they just want to legalize and enforce their illegal spying. What fags.
