You don’t have to ask them to do anything if you remove the ability altogether. I would like to think most people are zapping because they found value and don’t feel the need to let the whole world know that they did.
Going back to my real world example, do you think people who drop money in the guitar case are broadcasting who they are?
Understanding psychology and trying to limit the variables that could lead to threads like this isn’t authoritarianism, it’s common sense.
Take care.
That’s not a solution, that’s a compromise and the drama wouldn’t exist if no one knew who was sending what or how much.
If this person who started this conversation didn’t know who was sending what and how much, this whole thread never would’ve started, it’s that simple.
Also, this isn’t high school, though I am sure there are plenty of young people on here. This is not the same as it would be if we were all sitting around a table, people tend to get nasty when they know there are no consequences for their actions, so, eliminating the variables that lead to conversations like this seems like the smartest move rather than making compromises because you don’t want to start up anything.
I think you’re right. Hopefully it will flip the script and find people who may otherwise be unable to make that kind of revenue, and put them at the top of the pile.
I am poor as hell but I am hoping my investment into bitcoin will certainly change that for me in the next decade.
Therein lies the flaw with value for value. What you may find great value in and zap accordingly, someone else may find less value so they zap less. That isn’t the issue, it’s how people judge others who zap less, that creates a whole other dynamic that people don’t need to be dragged into.
A real world example would be if you’re walking down the street and there is someone on the corner playing guitar and their case is open to accept tips. Now, the five people in front of you just tipped him $5 each. There are many reasons why they may have given that much, maybe they are just generous or they truly found value in the music. Now, here you come and you drop 50 cents in there. Does that mean you didn’t find value in the music or that you just didn’t have the 5 bucks to give or both? The problem is, from the outside looking in, you could be perceived as cheap because you didn’t match what others gave when the reality is one of those other two options I just mentioned. And from the musician’s POV, he is probably wondering the same thing.
For this reason, zaps should only be made on your profile page, with the sender remaining anonymous. Same real world example, imagine if that same guitarist had a box with a slit at the top, then nobody knows what anybody else gave so there is no pressure to feel obligated to match it and the receiver doesn’t know either, so there is no judgement from him/her.
Some like to weaponize zaps as well. Instead of sending a standard 21sats or whatever you client has for default to show you found value in it, I have had people zap me like 3 or 4 sats to try and show me the complete opposite.
To them, I usually just say,, you obviously need them more than I do. 🤣
Then there are the ones that zap you 1 sat, it literally cost more to send it, morons.🤦🏻♂️
You’ll let this one slide, who dafuq are you? 🤦🏻♂️ MUTED, buh bye
I had one when I was a teenager, that thing was thick and heavy as hell but it could take a serious beating, then I switched to Ironman.
Damn, I haven’t heard that song in about 20 years.
Superheat Unveils the H1: A Revolutionary Bitcoin-Mining Water Heater at CES 2026 🔥 https://blossom.primal.net/975c31f98998a3f10398543baab3cb932c11b930b4dc31f0d7e8737101f5d8ae.mp4
I’ve been saying this for awhile, they can create harnesses that wrap around water pipes and transfer the heat from the miner to the water while simultaneously using the water to help cool the miner. Where’s my check? 😝
This came out over 30 years ago but it feels like it was just written to reflect current events. Someone want to let Cheeto Hitler watch this? #nostr #electedfelon #politics #cheetohitler
For normal folks it’s a no brainer, but I am curious how rich people will approach this. I mean, if you know nothing about bitcoin but obviously know quite a bit about fiat, how do you rationalize to yourself if/when it is time to convert.
I could understand being hesitant about converting millions of dollars to a currency you know nothing about. But I agree, at some point, they will all have to, whether they want to or not.
That’s badass. It somewhat reminds me of the Grand Canyon, there is a monastery or something out on one of the peaks. That’s one way to stop door to door salesman.😝
Of course not, he’s not an insurrectionist or drug lord.
Right on, appreciate the info. Starting from the bottom but will work my way to that level soon enough.

Slow and steady wins the race.🤘🏼
Are the chips in those things insulated or something? If heat is the enemy of a high hash rate then how does this work? Genuine question as I have been considering something similar. If I’m going to waste electricity I might as well make some sats while I am doing it, hehe.
Even though I am a nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q user, I can acknowledge when another team steps up with a idea, one I hadn’t even thought of, and that would be @primal’s new keychain feature to store you keys in.
Making onboarding easier for the average person has been something I have mentioned for some time and up until today, @satlantis was the only client to embrace this notion by showing you to sign up and sign in using already established credentials.
This was an absolutely brilliant idea by team Primal, well done. #nostr #primal
Yeah, I left the threshold stock which I think was0.0000001. Do you use the app as well? I was a bit concerned because the app hasn’t been updated in theee years but everything still seems to work.
I also use an app called hash watcher to keep an eye on my miner, it’s easier than accessing it through the IP address and offers all of the same information but in a more understandable way, IMHO. The only thing you still need the IP address for is setting the temperature threshold but I sent a comment about that so hopefully it will be added.
It also has some presets for overclocking with readouts showing how the overclock is affecting the miner with clear red/green indicators.
The best part, it also has a “store” that offers you links to all of the major miner equipment distributors and I get notifications when items are back in stock. Solo satoshi is on there as well so I am notified when he/she restocks his popular setups.
The only downfall of the app, it doesn’t work while you have a vpn turned on, naturally, but it’s still more convenient to just turn it off rather than go through the browser to access it.

I finally got hooked up to Braiins, not sure what the issue was but it’s working now. I got the wallet set up to accept what little sats I make every day and got my first payout this morning.
After a LOT of trial and error, this journey seems to finally have taken a turn in the right direction with results I can see daily instead of having to wait god knows how long to get a payout. And apparently Braiins is pretty much the best pool you can use, they even have their own hardware so you can keep informed. I only lost about a week or so on F2pool, a small price to pay to finally be on the right track and I owe that to you, so I just wanted to say thank you very much for the info, I very much appreciate it.
I only have about 20 sats in my yakihonne wallet and I feel like that would be an insult to send those so hopefully my heartfelt appreciation is enough. Cheers.🍻
If the information came from the Trump administration, there is none.
Those are pretty sweet. I’ll probably get one more bitaxe gamma before I start to upgrade. At least I can read that screen, my old eyes can’t se shit on a bitaxe gamma.🤣
I’ve been using an app called HashWatcher which shows all of the same stuff so that has helped. You can even adjust the miner through the app, it’s pretty sweet.
That did it, thank you very much. I don’t have many sats but you can have what is there. Really appreciate the help.
Does anyone have a working #braiins pool url? Bitaxe shows it’s running but shares are unauthorized and it’s not showing up on their website. #asknostr
Thank you
I stopped reading after your first sentence, what a load of shit. C ya, enjoy being tracked..🤦🏻♂️
iOS. The app itself wasn’t asking for the permission, it was games within the app, that were. The other walk for bitcoin app, however, did require location to be set to always. Only one app on my phone has that permission, the weather.😁
I tried this app, unfortunately it asks for more permissions than I am willing to give, including tracking. That’s the only thing wrong with those types of apps, I’m not sure I want them knowing where I am 24/7.
You could make the argument that Nostr isn’t a protocol either, it’s an acronym to describe what the protocol does. The actual protocol is what you’re using to communicate with the relays.
For a couple of days now I don’t see any notifications/replies anymore in nostr:nprofile1qqs9xtvrphl7p8qnua0gk9zusft33lqjkqqr7cwkr6g8wusu0lle8jcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68ytnzv9hxgqgkwaehxw309aex2mrp0yh8qunfd4skctnwv46q25rnrm
Any reported issues?

iOS, Android? Make sure notifications are turned on for that app via the notifications setting. If those look fine, on Android, delete app data and cache, force stop, then reopen. If that still doesn’t do it, uninstall and reinstall.
If you have root, make sure everything is gone from the data partition before you reinstall.
iOS, uninstall, reinstall.
This is all under the assumption that you have already tried the obvious, making sure the notification settings are turned on within primal itself.

#bitaxe users, do you ever turn your miners off?
I suppose a more accurate question would be, how long do the fans last? It’s the only moving part and will have to be replaced at some point, I’m just trying to get an idea of the fan’s longevity and if there’s anything I can do to extent it’s life. Thank you.

⚡️🇦🇱 NEW - Here's "Diella" in action, an artificial intelligence appointed MINISTER in charge of public procurement in Albania. According to the government, it will help combat corruption.

Here's the main differences between Bitcoin, and Monero.
Bitcoin is a transparent ledger, which means by default all transactions are public on the network unless you use obfuscation/privacy-perservation means, whereas with monero the network has privacy preserving features enabled by default that can't be viewed unless you have the keys to see them.
Bitcoin has a fixed hard supply cap (as of right now) of 21 million, and Monero is no longer issuing miner block rewards but rather a tail emission, which grants 0.6 xmr every 2 minutes (block time) in order to offset lost coin supply, & keep Monero circulating.
Bitcoin's block time is 10 minutes, Monero's block time is 2 minutes.
Average Settlement time with high to medium fees, Bitcoin at least ~10 minutes+, monero ~20 minutes after 10 block confirmations but other variables can impact inclusion into Bitcoin Blocks.
Bitcoin mining runs off of ASICs which increase hash power, whereas monero runs off of CPU minability which increases more accessible mining, anyone with a cpu can mine monero, though almost all mining is unprofitable in fiat terms overall for most cryptos.
Bitcoin has a fixed block size, Monero has a dynamic block size, which increases, or shrinks to fit network usage.
Bitcoin has huge fees on layer 1 in fiat terms, Monero has low fees in fiat terms (Bitcoin is ~$0.92 up to $5+, monero is ~$0.05 up to $0.25+)

Anywhere you can spend Bitcoin you can basically use with Monero by using swapping services.
If you have more questions feel free to ask.
Thank you very much!
Well said.

How about they bring the Patriot act to the Epstein files.😑
Or, I don’t know, maybe some actual gun safety legislation meant to save lives and not just silence the opposition.
I can’t own a gun because of a non violent, non gun related mistake I made over thirty years ago, but this motherfucker, he ya go!!!🤬
For me, it’s not the heat, but the Florida humidity that AC saves me from. When I lived in Boston I would just use two box fans in my room, one to pull in air and one to expel.
I’m curious what the cost/benefit of this would be?
I actually prefer having my accounts tied to Apple as it makes it very easy to sign in as well as keep all of my info updated.
I have a passkey tied to my foundation account but I would much prefer to have it tied to my Apple ID as that would keep my login details from being lost or forgotten and at the very least, keep all of my info synced to one place.
You can encrypt your iCloud backup if that’s what some would consider a negative of having your info tied to your AppleID.
