Great advice. The head is constantly blabbing and it makes it hard to listen to the gut that only speaks occasionally. It reminds me of my dad. He doesn’t have lots to say but when he speaks, it’s wise to listen.

Both are needed, just for different purposes.
As a pilot, we say follow your instruments because your head will give you false information. In the clouds, you may feel like you are going up, but you could really be going down. You have to keep fixated on your instruments to get the real data.
