Raises the question, then why do they want them so bad? They're getting something out of it, a huge boost in their existing ability to surveil and control. So still very worth resisting and not complying.

Owning bitcoin gives no extra control to a user except over their own coins... The US government would have the same amount of power in the network if they had 10 coin, 10000 coins, or 1 million coins, and the same is true of Michael saylor or anyone else. If I had 10% or 50% of supply I wouldn't have any more control over the network.

The only extra power you get when holding a big bag of bitcoin (and it must be much bigger than others') is the power to sell it and tank the price against other things, like the Dollar or Beef. This can trigger panic selling by stupid people who dont know what they hold... But... Its temporary and a power that's used up as its used and it wastes value and against the prevailing desire to accumulate value.
