But 2k had to get cute and try to cut out EA out at the knees by heavily discounting their game one year…and that made EA and the NFL mad so 2k got cut out.

I’ll never forget watching the first commercial for 2K and it wasn’t animated, it was the actual gameplay… blew my mind how much better graphics were for 2K than Madden. And it made Dreamcast look like the coolest thing ever! Kinda was.

Yeah they have the rights/monopoly which is why they can resell the same exact game for 12 years and the apes all line up to buy it
