# Relayable Updates from July 2023

## Donations and Overhead Costs

**For July 1st-31st**

Average of **89,323** unique users per relay location

Transferred an average of **2TB** per relay location (see attached image)

Operating Costs **$1123.32**

Donations **194,182 sats ($57.14 USD)**

We currently have 3 relays donated to us which helps but we continue to scale to meet demands.

We have added the `zbd.gg` relay to list we stream from.

Blocked additional airdrop spam accounts and pleased with the spam filtering efficiency.

Our LMDB database (sync'd at each relay location) has passed the 40GB mark in size

We are continuing to improve the service.

Not at such a low rate of donations. Grants seem to only go to devs doing frontend clients. Not many support the infrastructure those clients use. 💜

Relays continue to be the most underappreciated part of this entire infrastructure.

I guess nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx, nostr:npub1dergggklka99wwrs92yz8wdjs952h2ux2ha2ed598ngwu9w7a6fsh9xzpc, nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m etc. should look at supporting more relay owners and maintainers as well. Not just front end.
