I've recently tried out a Nunchuk & Tapsigner combo on mobile, for a modest-sum, daily use mobile onchain wallet (suited for travel). More secure than a mobile hot wallet in itself, but still very convenient, less friction than a true hardware wallet (Tapsigner is not HW wallet league, lacking screen and input).

The setup was quite intuitive, and it worked nicely!

Next maybe I will try a 2-of-3 Nunchuk / Tapsigner / proper HW wallet setup for extra reliability.

Practically, I see only two use cases for Tapsigner:

- HW surrogate to get a feel for real HW wallet if you don’t have money for one.

- For travels, in case of an emergency it can be destroyed without much regret.
