What Elon is doing is the biggest Yak Shaving of all times. Wants to go Mars, need rockets. Need money for rockets, sells cars. Needs more money, government efficiency in the way…
Practically, I see only two use cases for Tapsigner:
- HW surrogate to get a feel for real HW wallet if you don’t have money for one.
- For travels, in case of an emergency it can be destroyed without much regret.

It’s better than Meshtastic
Doesn’t look good, over engineered… Also, python eew.
And I don’t understand why people have to “trust” any messenger when you can just use it anonymously when you need privacy and use command line encryption when you need security. A long passphrase can be used as a shared key.
This is definitely not something where anybody would hold their savings for 10 years, but might be good for travel while leaving the device at home (if mobile limit is higher and lightning is implemented). Also, quite nice for stacking and trading.
BTW custom Electrum does not work at least for me. And I know what I’m doing.
I switched to Kotlin for backend and CLI a few years ago. Best experience in my professional life. Do it.
Totally. IMO Lightning Labs are in cahoots with miners…
nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct I think if we had a log monitoring software which would index Lightning/node/etc logs, that would be very super cool. Loki/Grafana or something similar. Consider this a feature request!
Text, definitely
Faucet is good too, but for hotel tipping gotta be different codes as there might be more than one unclaimed tip with different amounts.
Introducing Mutiny Gifts: Onboard someone to Bitcoin by simply showing them a QR code. Once they scan the QR code, it will load up Mutiny Wallet on the web, allowing them to redeem the Bitcoin.
https://blog.mutinywallet.com/mutiny-gifts/
Mutiny Gifts is self-custodial through the whole process. Funds stay in your wallet until the receiver redeems it. You can revoke access at any time if the gift is not claimed. All thanks to the magic of NWC.
Gifts is our first Mutiny+ paid-only feature. Anyone can redeem a gift, but you need to be a paid user or self-hoster to create one.
Here's a gift for a lucky person! Be the first one to scan this from your mobile phone and you'll receive 50k sats.

Feature request right away - I want to be able to pre-print QR codes and then charge them with sats at a later point. This is for tipping in the hotels.
Generally, the more knowledgeable a person is, the more challenging it becomes to get your queries answered. However, #ChatGPT defies this norm. #AI #ArtificialIntelligence
Two-three-four words password is crap, if you use the words at their original spelling. Also, with words you would still reuse the password that is worse than having a weak one. Use a password manager and generate random ones at least 16 characters long.
I do agree though that many developers pick the password policy that is too strong for their app. Nobody would even try to hack them, but they still make the user suffer.
If you’d take another path, you’d arrive faster and In better shape. OOP wasn’t organic, it was pushed top to bottom by a few architects working for Sun, Borland and Microsoft. Damn Green Team and Gang of Four have corrupted millions of innocent programmers minds, lol. BTW I’m not talking “we could’ve had Functional future”, even now it is out of mental reach for most. But if Go - like language would emerge instead of Java, we might‘ve had flying cars…
Obsolete - no. Harmful - yes. The combined damage of Java and C# to the industry is probably in trillions.
