Nah, plenty have been made. Promote the solid dudes that have already made solid guides.

seconded. Unless he thinks he can significantly improve them

Thirded

this is always been my philosophy in general, what are your favorites?

Noted on your other post 🫔🫔

Agreed on this. That’s how I learned how to use it.

It should definitely cover Sparrow Wallet

That’s crazy! I think a Sparrow guide should logically cover potatoes.

Make one and call it the ā€œParanoid Guide to Bitcoinā€. Take ALL the steps for maximal verification and sovereignty. I’m talking 90min of source compiling offline videos. šŸ˜‚

Only half a joke.

Yes please.

I love this guy. He is a humble sats stacker and making tutorials along the way. Good lad. More tutorials are always welcome though, so I would say yes

It should be in VR.

Text, definitely

Sparrow already has phenomenal docs at https://www.sparrowwallet.com/docs/. More docs about Sparrow outside of that space would be redundant IMO.

However, a video would help those that learn better visually (or the lazy fks who don't read..)

yea, the official docs are great, I link to them in my coldcard guide

Lots of videos out there on basic Sparrow functions, setup, send, receive, etc. Would be awesome to see examples of more niche or advanced scenarios like, UTXO management, CoinJoin best practices, dealing with BadBank change, and even a start to finish multi vendor multisig setup.

🫔 YES

Would be cool if you could somehow demonstrate what can be leaked due to poor UTXO management. I’m down with text and video.

Multisig might be good because it’s one of the scarier topics, yet quite important

I think a text guide would be ideal, as it can easily be updated later to accommodate major UI/UX changes or new features

Not sure what to cover as I haven’t been keeping up with what guides have been put out lately.

But maybe go through Craig’s documentation and see what’s not covered that you use frequently, and cover that.

Another idea would be a guide that is concise and simple for people brand new to transacting with bitcoin might be helpful.

Maybe consider curating content you feel to be the best. Perhaps with your own recommendations, best practices and usage habits.

Great comprehensive guide:

When do you think the world will be ready for a #nostr guide for normies?

if we are doing it right they won't need a guide

You could post it ā€œblog styleā€ here on Nostr with nostr:npub1yzvxlwp7wawed5vgefwfmugvumtp8c8t0etk3g8sky4n0ndvyxesnxrf8q

Here’s an example of a simple 5 day bitcoin 101 walkthrough I published on nostr with YakiHonne. I collected the links with #nostree :

Don’t waste your time, link to BTCsessions stuff. Video is best for learning. Can start stop, pause and rewind

Absolutely šŸ’Æ

Utxo management. whirlpool advanced features

Can you make it a pdf with snapshots like a process document anyone can print like the whitepaper?

I’d love to see a comprehensive video of taking your bitcoin off a KYC exchange, sending it to a Sparrow Wallet, mixing, and sending to a multi sig wallet. I realize this would be a long video though. So maybe a series. Most people will relate to taking it off a KYC exchange (even if it’s not a recommended way).

Covering the nuances of handling utxo's in badbank would be great.

And easy privacy mistakes in general. A suggestion more on the feature side: how to mix directly to cold storage.

Video helps a lot newbies and not šŸ˜šŸ«‚šŸ’œ

Please do. I use it as a replacement for Ledger Live, but I feel like I am barely scratching the shrink wrap of what it is capable of. Much Thanks.

One of the trickier things noticed with Sparrow is the initial set up, and toggling using Tor network as a proxy.

For users who wish to maximize the privacy capabilities of the wallet, this setting is a good one to turn on. However, depending on the other settings in the computer, users consistently get error messages. This might be caused by the user's VPN setup, and other firewalls working on the system, whether default OS firewall, or an additional third party firewall.

Tor browser is also required to be running to be used as a proxy, and this is an easy thing to forget when starting up Sparrow.

Still, the combination of Samourai whirpool to Sparrow desktop is great.

Please let me know if you need any help, or to elaborate on any previous points.

Hey, I am running Bitcoin Core via Tor on my computer. Struggling to connect Sparrow Wallet to it. What fields in the "Server" settings on Sparrow should be filled with what? Cheers!

I think a review of Sessions' Cold Card with Sparrow tutorial, considering some updates that cover any changes to procedures, or any slight differences that have arisen with any Cold Card firmware changes, would form the basis of a useful video. Or wait till the ColdCard Q1 reaches some users.
