Good heavy socks are hard to come by.
I've got a drawer full of TBCO's cashmere and merino socks. They go well with room shoes and Chelseas in the winter months.

In the early days of Bitcoin, alpaca socks were a thing.
I never got any myself, but they were quite famous, like mentioned in the first weusecoins "What is bitcoin?" video in 2011 and there's even a bitcoin-song called alpaca socks.
I've also had good luck with www.foxsox.com made in Iowa I believe and they have great merino wool socks. I wear them every day in summer and winter. I didn't have super sweaty feet so I can generally wear them a few days at a time but cotton socks is one day and done for me.
