Yes I've been thinking about this too. The first time it came to me was probably about 15 years ago, sitting in a small waiting room with about 6 people, everyone staring at their phone. I tried to start a conversation and make some contact but no one responded, just scared looking eyes peeking over the top of their phones.

Its just got worse since then.
