Have been asked about Bitcoin a lot lately from older folks at my church (retirees and some elderly). There is enough curiosity and a few excited about the possibility of me offering an introductory class on it.

So, here’s the question: Any recommendations as to a class that already exists, especially for this demographic. I would love not to have to create it all from scratch, in the interest of time. Though, I’m sure that would still be a worthy exercise.

Been gearing up to do something similar at my church as well as workplace. I don't know of ant existing resources specifically for churches so was planning on creating something for myself. DM if you want to chat further about it. Happy to share notes.

Thanks. Sent DM

The problem is that some might have high time preference, they are unable to wait 4 to 5 years, due to age and health commitments. Also not ready for short term volatility. How will you handle those expectations?

Just trying to explain BTC, not offering investment advice. Agreed, those issues would have to be discussed. Id love to explain BTC simply, how it is the opposite of fiat, and I’d love to teach them how to sign up for exchange, make a small purchase, and set up wallet, and if someone wanted to buy $1000 worth, we could talk about self-custody. I would also talk about inheritance planning, perhaps through an open dime. Most are financially sound and capable of making their own investment decisions.

Just give them some

Mi primer bitcoin maybe? (My first bitcoin) it's an open source project to teach kids about money and bitcoin... But it's suitable for anyone with an open mind. It's also translated into many languages and if there s language it isn't translated in, contributions after welcome.

Are you on the Orange Pill App? I'm part of a group on there of Christian Bitcoiners. May be helpful to you to get in that group.

Thank you. I am on the app. Will look for the group.

Can you add me?
