Got this S9K up and running again.
New fans are effective and an acceptable nose level in my bedroom.
Now the question:
1. Point it to Ocean pool - roughly 30% rebate on electricity used, longer than 1 year for payout.
Or
2. Point it to ckpool - all or nothing, almost certainly nothing.
Either way it's working as a space heater.

Ocean. Get some sats.
There is controversy around ocean but heres how i see it. With ocean you are likely to earn something. At CKPool its unlikely. At least ocean will mine blocks, CKPool wont mine so the hashrate you point there doesn't directly secure the network (yes you can argue that competition spurs on those that do mine blocks but I'm talking abt direct impact of your hashrate).
So unless you fundamentally disagree with what ocean is doing, your hashrate is used more effectively (in terms of benefit to securing bitcoin network) by mining on ocean.
This also aligns with your financial incentives as a miner.
