Warning, bros, for your own safety:

Do not make up or use nicknames for grown men, if you aren't female.

Second warning, bros:

Calling grown men "bros" is only actually cute if you're female.

*Looks at his screen name*

😅

You're allowed to give yourself a nickname, of course.

But not for others, unless you want to piss them off. And definitely nothing cutesy.

*pats self on back, for not calling Michael "Mikey"*

*admires own self-restraint*

Gosh, I love this team. 💚🤣

Proper nicknames are not a common variant of your given name. I knew a guy named Steven, he told everyone to call him Steve (not a nickname just a chosen variant of his name, this is acceptable for you to choose) we all called him Skeeter (a nickname)

Had he had a choice for his nickname I'm sure he would have chosen something superficially manly like bear. He doesn't get a say in his nickname for exactly that reason. His nickname came from a collective judgment and agreement of those who knew him. This kind of nickname you are not allowed to self appoint for any reason. Attempts to do so will be seen as extremely cringe.

lol, I rarely call people by their full names in person, I always found it odd that in almost everywhere else in the south, Midwest, and Alaska they do the same thing I did. When I flew out there the frist time, I called one of the owners Rob instead of Robert and he was like who tf is Rob?

Volunteering and a kid told me his name was Steven but I could call him Steve for short.

I said my name was Bill but he could call me William for long.

That set off a full brain reboot in the kid. 30 seconds of total blank face dead still no one home stare. Finally shook his head and said "what?" Once his brain was back online. I've been laughing about it for weeks.

*names changed but you get the idea.
