I'm still waiting for some news account to post about how everything is improving and there's nothing to worry about anymore.

Like all taxes have been cancelled, all regulations repealed, all armies disbanbed, the pope has allowed priests to marry men so they don't have to touch boys anymore, schools educate children rather than indoctrinate them, people have stopped manufacturing diseases and spraying food with chemicals, the weather is good, the top-rated Netflix show is a comedy about how people used to believe in Keynes and held elections so people could participate in their own oppression, and anti-stick coating doesn't come off frying pans anymore.

People like to draw others into their drama.

It makes them feel that their drama is significant.
