Easily solved with better shoes and less chair time (replace with movement and time on the ground)

They’re also able to be re-soled so the long term cost of ownership might be about the same as others that cannot. You’re feet are worth it, bad fitting boots can lead to foot deformity, cause you to alter, your gait, change your posture and ultimately cause joint pain in your back and elsewhere.

I have sketches (inspired by armadillos and old school knight armour which was super mobile and protective) and material lists but don’t have the capital or energy to fight that battle right now.

So much work to fix my feet, just to be forced to spend 8 to 10 hours a day in cramped work boots.

What are your thoughts on Hoka?

Not a fan. The cushioning and stiffness have bigtime consequences on movement quality and foot mobility over time. It’s like a comfy couch for your foot - feels good for a period of time but if you sit on a couch all day your body will be stiff, weak and injury prone when you get off the couch eventually
