I used to think that.
But likes aren’t proof of work and are a vestige of fiat legacy social world. They’re lazy (not pointing a finger I still do it too, all the time) and have zero value when they’re not gamed by an algo.
We don’t need likes if we’re all engaging through words and deeds. Think about it, you can run an army of bots to like the shit out of a post. How much costlier is it to do the same with zaps and cogently written notes? You need Bitcoin and AI/Humans and it has real world cost.
