Perhaps one of the biggest issues with abrahamic religions (besides the patriarchy) is that they insist that we forget about most of human history.

It's hard to understand ourselves when we forget that we spent ~95% of our existence living in small tribes, out in nature, with close community, sharing things, raising children communally, etc.

I don't understand this point. The directives of Christianity don't ignore human history but confront the evil that can come from this human nature in a civilizational world. See 10 commandments et al.
