I don't know who follows Farcaster from this side of the world, but it is imploding pretty quickly and I think it is an opportunity to get some refugees. There are lots of builders there (mostly vibe coding and javascript bros), but they want to build on a twitter/reddit style social network. I'd like to hear what other thoughts about it is, scam takes included (that's mostly where I was for its life, though I did use it).
If you do want precise control over it, you can use the same seed phrase in a wallet and it should work. This is probably not recommended generally.
I would recommend separating the lightning node from your regular wallet (use cold storage etc). But you can point your wallet that has the features you want to your node and share it with lightning channels. Primarily just use the hot wallet on the umbrel for channel management.
Yeah, this is to bootstrap the zapstore. They encourage devs to take over and I think they have a handoff process.
Projects this size usually have different "areas" of code. Some need to update often for maintenence and support. Other parts are relatively static and only change for large features or architecture changes. So it depends is the correct answer. I'd say for "normal" projects, 2 devs could handle this.
Does anyone need some inbound liquidity? I have some free sats to open a channel. No promises on uptime, I've been having some issues keeping my node up.
I have a hard time seeing it, as most Christian bubbles are usually more peaceful than society at large (think Amish, etc). And the missionary and proselytizing culture usually looks to convert rather than destroy. I think the bubble matters for amplification, but the ideology is the root cause.
At least Amethyst supports this. When you quote a note you can set the percentage the OP gets of the zaps.
I think it is ideological as well. One worldview is individualistic, so self-defence is the only justified use of violence. The other identitarian and collectivistic, so defending your group may be a justified use of violence in that case. That coupled with "words are violence" and even "silence is violence" mean that the things that raise to the level of "justified violence" have a low bar.
Your point about bubbles is fair, but I also think it is a loss of status as they see defeat in their control of these institutions. This will be a feedback loop as more institutions fail because of the violence. I worry the violence will ramp up as a result.
I've found it isn't great about cleaning up after old episodes. You should be able to mostly clear them all from the menu. It could present better ways to do this though.
Nice, now I just need to find a geohash that isn't empty.
Head of Media at the Institute of Economic affairs and staunch libertarian, Reem Ibrahim, joins me to discuss free markets, liberty and why we must demolish socialism.

You didn't mention nostr on the podcast, she would love it here.
Circle chain, more like Circle jerk.

Yes, but its even worse for men on bumble I think.
There are some good podcasts out there, but they mostly seem to ignore bitcoin and just shrug at tariffs (not good or bad). If you have a connection who could get you in, I'd love to hear you on the Ruthless podcast or something in the National Review universe.
Ok, I may re-sub in the future. Thanks for clearing this up.
Rebecca killed it on this one! I'm ready for clarity.

testing alphaama, pretty cool concept
This guy's running. Meanwhile he's slippery and wrong about almost everything.
The term highest purpose isn't to denigrate other purposes, but to prioritize such that it can be assessed whether one purpose is at odds with another. This just means that if a society is oriented to make it overly burdensome for women to be mothers it is a distorted and mis-prioritized society. On an individual level you may have other goals and you should pursue them.
More like short bus bitcoiners.
I might need some baby socks for a friend in a few months. I'll keep this in mind.
He muted me too? I don't even know what I said. My guess is asking how there's an invite list for a permissionless platform. Lol.
