nostr:npub19ha7tju4teqp3dmwv4p28wrcy9zd6h6hxkg5mwvjrlfycweazpkse2q0fa I am having trouble figuring out how to use and create a split for music from LNBeats. I have been looking at your RSS from Homegrown Hits and I can see: .

I can see that the feedGuid is the album and if I build the URL like so: https://lnbeats.com/album/9c4017a3-5a53-5b3d-b2bd-783fbf2afae9/f1071e09-063a-4d00-91da-88c2c8e2592e the itemGuid seems to be the song. I can't find how to get the itemGuid. If I am correct in my breakdown of how it works. These must be wallet addresses I guessing.

Do you know of a way to download the audio file? I used wget and it worked, that is not something that most folks are going to do though. Seems like I am missing a download button or something. Thanks for any info you have.

You are correct about feedGuid being album and itemGuid being the song, but you'll have to look up the RSS feeds to find them which I don't believe LNBeats links out to. Sometimes I'll just look it up on PodcastIndex to get to the RSS and then download the mp3 from the tag.

If you have an Alby account, you might be able to use https://www.thesplitkit.com/ which is a much quicker way to build out value time splits and download the mp3s.

Also if I misread and didn't answer your question, just let me know!

Thanks dood. I poked around with the Split Kit. Not super intuitive, but I think I got the info I needed. Not sure thus spy is working properly though.

Do you know a way to test that the split is working?

If it's a published episode, you can open up Podverse in mobile and it'll show you the splits for each chapter / Value Time Split change.

It takes some practice but you'll get it! I like The Split Kit because it puts the VTSs together for you and spits out a ready-to-go json file for chapters instead of having to manually track every song switch and CTRL-F through RSS feeds for guids...although that's what I did for the first few episodes of Homegrown Hits. Took me 13 episodes to finally publish one without any mistakes in the RSS feed. πŸ˜… And mistakes still happen of course but at least now I'm familiar enough with the tags that it's usually a quick fix.

Also, RSS Blue has a dashboard for creating VTSs in your feed for any songs played. Admittedly I have not played with it but here's a link: https://rssblue.com/help/music-shows

I use nostr:npub1gr65v2hqq83n3vqfh6m65eej65hxlqwyjp0echc9ghvw5p6pvqpse3mmjc and can’t imagine doing it any other way!
