Ego defense is a hell of a drug.
It would be a lot easier to be right if you didn't pick a side 30 seconds after you found out there were sides to pick every single time.

You could be one of those hippies who never decides on anything but that is just as wrong as picking before you know what is up.
Sometimes you have to pick a side to see how it feels. Like trying on a pair of shoes, they may seem to fit well in the store, but you won't really know until you've walked a mile in them. The key is being willing to change them if they turn out to be clown shoes.
