Once AI takes over most manual and many practical functions in society and people have more intellectual leisure time, the study of liberal arts may have a renaissance.

Don't get me wrong, I _want_ people to study the classics, philosophy, etc., it's essential. But paying 200k to read plato is fucking ridiculous. That said, I welcome the rennaissance that has new adults going off to spend a few years learning how to think when we no longer expect college to simply credential you into a slave wage and people can afford college without much or any debt and then return to their communities enriched and ready to contribute meaningfully, probably by plumbing and masonry.
