Will there be a way to quote tweet while preserving zaps to the original poster? If so, maybe some way to indicate that on a repost? I think that would be a great thing to normalize on nostr. #[0]

As zaps are handled on client side, I think this needs to be a client feature. So clients shall support it.
I like the idea though!
There should and will be an option to transfer zaps to the person being reposted during a quote repost. Once we have zap targets with pubkeys (coming soon to damus!)
Don’t people have the option to go to the OP and zap them? Maybe people want to also zap the person who reposted because without them, the post might have gone unseen
Suggestion: Can they be called zaptags? “Who would you like to zaptag on this post/repost?”
I am really curious about that, especially with the notion of zap tag or LN Prisms attached to media. Can something be done with creating and managing LN Prisms with a NIP, and attaching prisms to media, not only notes ( with purpose media notes only managing metadata)?
Prisms are insecure, I would prefer if splits were defined in nostr. Once splits are in nostr we can zaptag anything and have amounts go to the verifiably correct places.
Nostr based splits sounds awesome! So multiple zap tags would create the split from note, to me it’s the outcome that matters. Is there work done on zapwalling directly within Nostr or will that end up being dealt with externally?
It will happen I’m sure. There’s a nip floating around where you can attach encrypted files or notes to posts. Perhaps you could deliver the decryption key in response to a zap somehow.
