Replying to Avatar nout

Great recommendation overall!

I need to investigate this in more detail, but I'm currently nomading, so it doesn't make much sense for me specifically. I'm more looking for a small device that I could use as local media 'n' stuff server that connects to whatever wifi and that all my devices use by default.

There is a mobile router by same company for normads https://www.gl-inet.com/products/gl-axt1800/

It is not as strong as the home router but has all the functionalities.

That's intriguing. I'm thinking about it in combination with https://www.amazon.com/MeLE-Quieter3C-Computer-Function-Industrial/dp/B0B74KLMWQ as media server. That would still be quite portable.
