I think the better use case would be a hole punch integration with a nostr client.

Nostr users can share punch links for facilitating p2p transactions.

Yes, I think there's an interesting overlap between the two protocols. Nostr seems great for blasting small data blobs (like punch links), event-based notifications, and finding peers to connect with. Holepunch could do all the heavy lifting after that for more resource/data-intensive tasks between linked peers. Interested to see what gets built.

Yeah and holepunch needs a way for users to find each other as far as I know and is good for in the moment things.

Would be good for “off-nostr” interactions.

Like I can imagine if a client wanted to leverage something like a keet and exchange punch links via DM or group encrypted comms.

From a UX standpoint it’s just tap and go while in the background nostr and whatever holepunch act in tandem.

The possibilities actually sound really cool here.
