Is there a service that lets me buy monero with lightning?
I go through highly convoluted means to buy my email service anonymously. The gift code issuer accepts monero, which seems to be the lowest-fee option at the moment.

Fuck I love Monero! So private, so cheap to move around. Dynamic block sizing. Darknet markets and so many can’t be wrong. This is an old coin that is solid.
It's cool to have an option when their BTCpayServer doesn't have a lightning node behind it.
Lightning is a pain with having to mess with channels, channel closures, expensive to open channels, what I pile of pain, and then custodial wallets you never know when you are going to be rug pooled.
I love the privacy and freedom of nostr but wish it was more open to #monero as it is truly private and so much more freedom.
I wouldnt hold monero for more than a few minutes. Maintaining the lightning channels gives me lots of options across lots of applications built with good libraries with high interoperability. I earn routing fees servicing the network and my purchasing power is safer at Bitcoin layer 2, compared to an altcoin.
Maintaining lightning channels seems like a lot of work. Force closures and all. To each his own. Best of luck to you.
If you run Core Lightning and choose your peers like a grown-up, it is not all that risky. Running around the playground and saying "Hey you wanna be my fren?" Is not a viable strategy
There are often weeks, months, and even years where Monero greatly outperforms Bitcoin. The most recent was all of 2022.
Sure don't hold it forever if you like, but it's silly to be scared to hold onto it on such a short time scale, like minutes, where loss and profit are insignificant and wildly swing in either direction.
