⚡️💬 I feel like everything is becoming increasingly difficult—finding housing, being happy, finding a job—it's not a coincidence. Modern society is literally sabotaging our generation as if the system is designed to exhaust us. Young people today work harder for less and have fewer opportunities than previous generations. Degrees do not guarantee stable employment, the cost of living is skyrocketing, and yet we are still sold the idea that working hard is enough to succeed. In reality, I feel like the system is made to keep us in an endless race where we work to pay off debts and bills without ever really making progress. We have an illusion of freedom; as children, we are sold the idea that we can have it all—money, happiness, freedom—but in reality, everything is designed to keep us dependent. School doesn’t teach us how to manage our money or invest; I learned it by myself, and I feel like I did so way too late. Instead of creating businesses, school trains us to become obedient employees, and banks push us to take out loans to become their slaves. Moreover, in public, society conditions us to seek validation from others. We don’t work to be free; we work to survive.
