Why "? Do you have single reason to believe it won't be temporary? They did it before and yes it was temporary just like this time.

No one can predict the future but Canada is dumb. Rather than spending money on proper forest management they will just ban people from using it and say it’s for your safety.
It’s not hard to see how this could go. Maybe it won’t, who knows, but it’s best to have a worst case in mind.
There’s a lot of unemployed youth that should be utilized to clear the forests of dead wood, do controlled burning, and setup fire lines around development. The rest, away from people needs to burn. But, I doubt that’s going to happen. Fires fit the current narrative.
