Banishment is definitely worse IMO. You are subject to it, can’t opt out and almost always can’t appeal.

Muting like people closing their doors and windows as you walk by. You can still walk by.

Deleting is like cutting a tree and leaving the stump behind, or recalling a sold product just to turn it into trash, or burying a dead person and placing a tombstone over their grave. Something is left behind but of little consequence.

Didn’t mean to imply to tombstones are not important places for people to honor and pay respects to the deceased… more like the act of adding a tombstone is not harmful to others. Just wanted to make that clear.
