The fact that the funds are being sent to a KYC exchange should be verification enough. If you're sending bitcoin, it stands to reason that you have control of the wallet address in order to do so!

True, but the point of it is power. Extra steps opens room for judgements and exceptions, while reinforcing ritualistic compliance, learned disability, and humiliation of the slave - humiliation is a key part of power because it destroys a person's soul, and a soul is as strong as the person is empowered.
