I demonstrated the scythe for an elderly friend of mine in his suburban front yard once. People just about wrecked their car doing a double-take as they drove by. Guess they thought I'd come for him.
What was hilarious is a few people walking by stopped to talk and try it out. They just about mowed his whole front yard for him. Very Tom Sawyer-esque.
