One could relocate the conference to places like Baltimore, but then nobody would come 😂

Baltimore is too dangerous for any serious conference. People would be getting mugged and carjacked for sure. It'd be like putting the conference in Portland, San Francisco, or Chicago

I attended a big conference there in 2019. They have an app that notifies you of shootings in the 1-km area around you. Also just walking there is an adventure.

The Bitcoin conference was in San Francisco in 2019 I think... Absolute shithole then and even worse now.

Yes, SF 2023 is definitely an ultra expensive shithole even compared to SF 2018-2019. San Diego is still quite cool tho 🙃
