Gotta read it then. I stumbled into mystic Christianity after being raised Protestant and needing to make sense of the psychedelic experience. Alan helped me make sense of the experience but I had no idea he wrote a book on it.
Indeed, many of his early works focus on Christianity, and the mystics have always had the most direct connections with the divine.
He published “Behold the Spirit” while he was an Episcopal priest at the age of 32, so all of this was very top of mind for him.
