How would you feel if every note had an option to run chatgpt or similar on it to give an assessment of the arguments (for and against), provide context, references, and any other number of things you can think of?

Basically a DVM within the client for each note.

I don’t know a data vending machine is and at this point I don’t get why I would care if that aren’t in the client.

Right, that’s what I’m saying. It makes sense in a client but I don’t see why the majority of people would even know about DVMs let alone use them. Things like this in clients or at least through clients like you describe would be much better in my opinion.

I think it would be useful for those long-form posts. Maybe because it’s a certain “kind” or post (from what I remember) it could be more prominent on those.
