It always has been.
It’s a product, user should pay, with a safety net for those that truly don’t have the means. I don’t approve of blanket ‘free’ stuff for everyone.
Fair enough. There is a website called OceanofPDF where you can literally get books for free in PDF and ePUB format which I’m on the fence about… for people down in Africa and poorer nations having the ability to educate themselves I think can be a positive to the world.. AI I guess also gonna make knowledge widely accessible in the coming years….
I agree, how much untapped human potential there must be.
I mean the old system was designed to keep certain people from educating themselves for that exact reason so the saying of “open source” everything is right because I believe that people whom can afford to support people who put out material will and being on a hard money standard the purchasing power from those people who can afford will be enough to carry on … maybe I’m delusional but that’s how I see it..
I like the idea of lots of open source free options that people or organizations provide of their volition. I think if the employers that need educated people provided scholarships / apprenticeships for the courses they need that would be a better alternative to government provided free education or loans.
Nowadays the education is free. What's not free is a piece of paper saying that you studied

Well I’ll give you an example.. book A “the bitcoin standard” is available on Amazon but also available on OceanofPDF for free in pdf and ePUB format.. someone who can afford it should buy someone who can then should have the option to still educate themselves?
