Isn't that what the NSFW label is for? Maybe don't follow those #'s on a business account?

What happens when people/bots do not use that label/hashtag for their note? “Not following” is not comprehensive enough, content could still show up in replies. Having a toggle to censor accounts makes sense to me nostr:note1h78tttzm4hr6twtqdxveuhrr2yvyrjq96pr3rq9pdfx25e3s4gdq0gwa6j

Or you could just mute/block the user. Up to the user to tailor his/her feed to their liking. Or maybe I'm simply under thinking it. Doesn't seem too complicated to me, though.

You could. But the client censoring the npub for you could be appealing for some users who don’t wanna spend the time muting all those accounts. Plus the client will be a better “net” to catch more NSFW npubs than an individual could.

Isn't that the point of decentralization, though? So no one entity speaks for the population? If the client does all the censoring that it feels it should, does it make it any better than Twitter (X) or Facebook?

You’re missing the point where users can take their keys and leave the client whenever because the protocol is open. So yes, even if Primal censors, it is better than X or Facebook. We have an open marketplace for client selection. Markets will decide which clients are best over time. If you don’t like a client, vote with your keys by leaving 🤷🏻

And this is why Nostr will win. Thanks for a great dialogue. That can't happen on the other platforms without one of us getting hella upset. 😂🤙🏼

Ehh it’s probably more a factor of the average person you run into 😅 but I suppose certain platforms can foster an expectation for ad-hominem arguments which feeds on itself while within that app…

I appreciate your civil discourse as well 🤝

No progress is made without dissent. I'm still a rookie with , but learning. So information like this is great.

Have an outstanding day, sir! ☕🤙🏼

You have a better one 🤙🏼
