We have a large oak tree in the backyard, and I am so glad it's there. During our hot summers, it provides a little oasis of shade near the house, and if there's a breeze it makes sitting out here halfway bearable. Early in the mornings is the best time to enjoy it, but in the evenings its not too bad. I have lots of herbs and other plants that benefit from the shade of this tree also. This is my little oasis, where I can enjoy a cool glass of tea and listen to the birds singing. It's not fancy or extravagant, but I wouldn't trade it for any place in the world.
