css is only hard because it only does what it's supposed to about 50% of the time. The other 50% is overriding something that got inherited but shouldn't have.

CSS is beautiful. I guess all the work arounds and complex (almost useless) frameworks surrounding it is what makes it seem hard. Use it in its vanilla form and you would love it.

Try using variables to make bulk and programmable changes without having to rely purely on JS.

css is worse designed than rust and thats saying something however it gets very easy to type css after you build like 5 or so different styled web pages.
