It worked for me using Nostash.

I can change the app permissions to “ask” in Nostash settings

I tried that. Asks to approve. I checked allow twice. Then it’s still stuck at that screen

I couldn’t reproduce it. You might want to try it on desktop. It hasn’t been extensively tested on mobile yet.
