it's not an issue... in theory i have already built most of the code to enable a single relay to handle massive traffic or a little farm of smaller relays on a failover/round robin
the real problem is that i got paid to do that "scalability" solution for a shitcoin project grant and the bitcoiner VC funders have some screwy ideas about making a viable project for actually making money, they consider authentication to be "doxxing yourself" and they refuse to fund you if you criticise any of the in-group that are part of this communistic complex of developer beggars that are the majority of nostr client devs, who also have no programming skill and freak out if you tell them that "it would be simpler if it was just plain text, you know, and more efficient"
haha, anyway, it's too complicated to say it in one paragraph, i need a whole book to explain the situation but suffice it to say that it's nonsense it's not scalable, it's infinitely scalable because you have to put the scaling method into it, it doesn't come with one
