There are reasons why I keep oodles of reclaimed electrical parts. The capacitor on the stereo remote broke and I managed to find the exact right replacement in my parts bins. Stupid remote was wonky for a long time.

I love it when the hoarding pays off.
Years ago I was injured so went on craigslist and put a wanted electronics and components ad which garnered me a heap of cool stuff to tear apart. I probably inhaled a bit too much solder during the process but I have a ton of parts now that occasionally come in handy.
