There were several things I liked about Farcaster, but the altcoin gambling attitude and lack of incentive for 3rd parties to build on it turned me away. I'm not a dev, but it seems like the protocol they built wasn't very approachable.

also I don't know much about farcaster, is it an app built on top of a protocol with the same name? do they have a variety of use-cases like in nostr? (fountain, fanfares, zapstream)
You need people with a Bitcoin mentality to get something like this off the ground tbh. Shitcoin vibes won’t carry it. They’ll probably create a shostr or something once we near 1bn users

the fact of the matter is, shitcoiners can't do "this". they can't build a decentralized social future. shitcoiners don't build. they just take. they gamble. nostriches are different. we're the ones building the future.

The follow needs to be large and passionated, we have that in #Bitcoin and to a much less degree in #Nostr,
#Bitcoin have been getting tons of marketing free and paid by OGs for a very long time. This is key.
IMO, we need more marketing in #Nostr and... We need to onboard more aggressively OGs and mega influencers in the Bitcoin industry, Jack Dorsey and Jack Mallers are not enough Why the lack of support?. Now that we (#Bitcoiners) are not demonized any more we need to push for this.

We need a free decentralized platform in which everyone can have free speech, we have the #Bitcoin financial layer to support it, the future is bright, we can build everything on top, with enough founding and the right ideas and following a model that the masses want and will use massively matters.
I would like to see more OGs creating dev support sites with funding options for interesting projects that follow a clear "Build Plan for that Nostr Swiss Knife" in a more decentralized manner, grants from anonymous donors to a non profit organization, currently, IMO, is very narrow and only few players which narrows the development to their vision of the Nostr Ecosystem.

I agree, we need a Swiss Knife Nostr running similar apps as WeChat using the Nostr Protocol with the Bitcoin Financial ecosystem built in organically to support it. Only what people needs on a daily basis for social interaction, shopping, paying for services like food delivery, cinema tickets or simply groceries.
For that a huge grant, an awesome dev team with a clear road map, leaded by charismatic manager under the umbrella of a non profit organization. Challenging but a modular and secure succsses among Bitcoiners, if we believe in hyperbitcoinization, this is an obvious path to take.
