Which vitamin e supplements or brands do you recommend? How much spinach a day would an adult need to consume? Why does to much of it cause cancer? That seems counter intuitive.

I am using the Now Foods E-400 with Mixed Tocopherols, and have generally like their products over the years. 750g of raw spinach would get you about 15mg of vitamin E. (Have a play on myfooddata). It is not clear that high doses cause cancer, they just associate with some kinds. It could be that people consuming large amounts are also consuming a lot of seeds and all of the linoleic acid and cyanogenic glycosides (or whichever toxins) that come along for the ride. They could be punishing sunflower seeds, and sunflowers love accumulating heavy metals. It could also be downstream of dampening too much oxidation and confusing signalling, but I am just speculating all over the place here.

Thanks. I picked up some of those. I've had good luck with NOW brand supplements.

Ahhhhh great! Cool to hear that you have also had good experiences with them.

I have just assumed that the dose of the other tocopherols is 48mg since their other very similar product with added selenium actually mentions the dose of them. But it could be smaller. Maybe I should email them.

If you are taking vitamin K2, perhaps take it at a separate time to the vitamin E. :-)

I take a vitamin D with K2 supplement. I don't take it every day based on muscle testing. Doing some quick research makes it look like together they may cause some blood clotting issues. I bought a small bottle of vitamin E to work into my morning supplement testing.

I also take a D3 & K2 supp, it seems a good idea to take them at a separate time, so I do. :)
